Otion Front Studio began in March 2014 founded by Monica Mirabile and coFounded by Sigrid Lauren of Fluct. We began as a space for movement practices and classes. Within it’s first year, we quickly became a performance collective including Sarah Kinlaw, Kathleen Dycaico, Garnett Chiapetta, Ciara Clements, TaraJo Tashna and Jerome Bwire. The collective organized many community performance events inside and outside of the studio including Dance Art Video screenings and Residency performances. As the collective dissolved into new forms of output more community members came to usher in new life and evolve the model of support. The studio is currently operating in community spirit with a new and growing team including Mel Stancato, Kate Williams, Jack Merriweather and Angie Veys.
